This week, I had the honor of working with Matt Taibbi to cover the recent revelation that researchers tied to the Alfa Bank hoax appear to have had a role in the US government’s official attribution for the DNC hack.
There is a great deal going on behind the scenes to bring more to light.
Here are just a few of the questions we still want answers to.
Was anyone else tied to the Alfa Bank allegations associated with the investigation into the DNC hack or the subsequent attribution in any way, shape, or form?
The Mueller report contains references to an “AMS Panel” being run by the alleged Russian operatives using servers and computers leased in Arizona. From which company were those materials leased?
Materials provided by Antonakakis and Dagon flowed to the government “via DARPA” with taskings coming from the DOJ/FBI (theorized to be from the National Security Division of the DOJ). Who was on these comunications for the taskings and who received the information coming from DARPA?
Who at the FBI or DOJ knew that Manos Antonakakis and David Dagon were providing materials on the DNC hack? Did any of them also know that Dagon was alleged to be the author of the Alfa Bank technical white paper?
Who on the Mueller team was receiving materials from the Alfa Bank researchers? Was there any direct contact with the researchers?
Were any communications with the Alfa Bank researchers destroyed during the “wiping” of the dozens of phones?
Did any DNC data or system images circulate among outside cyber researchers prior to being provided to the FBI late in the fall?
Why wasn’t all of this disclosed in one of the numerous investigations?
Bonus for the White House Press Corps to ask:
Will President Biden commit to declassifying and releasing all materials connected to the alleged hack of the DNC?
I’m confident MSNBC will pose these questions at the earliest opportunity
